The first studio work by Vadim Surkov that set the tone for his entire oeuvre. A fusion of chamber neoclassicism and ambient in eight compositions, each a pause in the pre-dawn silence.
Total duration: 35:40
"Everything Will Begin" was recorded over six months in a home studio and an abandoned dacha near St. Petersburg. Sounds of dawn, creaking floorboards, distant train whistles — all became part of the album's fabric as field recordings.
The concept of eight moments was born by chance: one morning, watching the sky slowly lighten, I realized I wanted to capture these transitional states — from night to day, from silence to sound, from past to future.
The first album set the direction that later developed in "Time Travel" and "Starting Point" — an exploration of the boundaries between states.
"We recorded the final track 'Dawn' on tape — we wanted to capture a warm, tube sound. It was the longest dawn of my life: we started at three in the morning and finished when the sun had already risen."
